McLean Berry Farm's philosophy is simle: provide healthy, farm fresh, delicious produce to local communities. With a strong emphasis on quality, freshness, and friendly customer service, their team works tirelessly to ensure that the food they grow is the best it possibly can be. The McLean's welcome their community to come to the farm whenever possible to help create and strengthen connections between you and your food; allowing you to see where and how it is grown.
McLean Berry Farm is the original farm location, bought in 1991. It's a 99-acre farm filled with fields of produce, while also housing their Sugarbush. Nestled among apple trees and blueberry bushes is the main on-farm store, filled with farm fresh produce from their farm as well as their neighbours farms. Buckhorn Berry Farm is their second location, bought in 2010. At 187-acres it is much larger than McLean Berry Farm, and is now home to primary strawberry and raspberry plantings.
The family is constantly working to increase the variety of crops they are able to grow, and the availability throughout the season. Trickle irrigation, day neautral strawberries, fall raspberries, and high tunnels are only a few of the innovative ways that the McLean family is working to extend and improve their growing season to provide their community with fresh fruits and veggies each season.
