So Delish
So Delish was established to connect people to great, local, organic, ethically raised food. Supporting local farmers and wasting less of what's grown is a great way to reduce ecological footprints and make the planet a better place. So Delish has been recognized by Foodland Ontario as a business that is providing ingredients that are exclusively sourced in Ontario, from Ontario farms. If it isn't grown in Ontario, and it isn't organic, you won't find it at So Delish.
When So Delish was originally established, it launched as Baby Delish: fresh, locally sourced baby food. So Delish is the result of the non-baby community who fell in love with the "baby food" offerings from Baby Delish. The original Baby Delish single ingredient purees are still available as frozen offerings, along with their fresh herb favourites.
In 2018, So Delish had the opportunity to partner with one of their supplier farmers, and what an incredible experience that was! Starting at the very beginning of the season, Eva helped prep seedlings for local plant sales, and quickly got very busy as farming season picked up! The gracious host, Brenda Knechtel, shared her expertise and wealth of knowledge as they worked side-by-side in the fields.
While working on the farm, Eva realized how much food never even makes it off of the farm. The desire to reduce food waste led to an on-field brainstorming session, which is where the dehydrated line of So Delish ingredients was conceived. Dehydrated foods have a much longer shelf life, and using fresh Ontario ingredients harvested at the optimal time makes using them tasty and easy!
